As a user who uses many different apps infrequently, I was able to drop an expensive photoshop subscription and it’s lock-in contract. I use Affinity Photo for basic image editing purposes but I still have to switch back to Photoshop when Affinity designer and affinity photo free need more advanced features. I like experimenting with the procedural texture filter in Affinity Photo. With this filter, you can come up with pretty interesting results. I also like the fact that you can do most basic image editing work without the need for Photoshop. Affinity Photo is totally sufficient for basic image editing but I wish it had AI-backed masking options like Photoshop too. I also need Photoshop for making textures still. I wish they were mostly doable in Affinity Photo, too.
